About the Department :

The department of Computer Science was established in the year of 1997 affiliated to the Madras University, Chennai till 2002 and from the year of 2003 affiliated to the Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. The Department offers a three year B.Sc., Degree course, in Computer Science and started the one year M.Phil Computer Science programme in the year of 2010, which was among the first such programmes in College.

The Department has started M.Sc. Computer Science course in the year of 2014 with the aim to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to carry out development work, as well as take up challenges in research.

The ultimate idea of our department is to encourage the students to come up with their innovative ideas to utilize our fully equipped laboratory for the betterment of the society through excellent ideas.

  • To achieve academic excellence in Computer Science by imparting in-depth knowledge to the students, facilitating research activities.

  • Provide intellectual inputs to knowledge-based industries in the form of qualified and trained manpower’s.
  • To attain self-sustainability and overall development through Research, Consultancy and Development Activities.
  • To produce best quality Computer Science Professionals by imparting quality training, hands on experience and value education.
  • To pursue creative research and new technologies in Computer Science and across disciplines in order to serve the needs of industry, government, society, and the scientific community.
  • Providing an environment in which students are given the essential resources to address, research and solve real-world problems, participating in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research and its applications.
